Max. Manta Ray Lights.
Max owns Manta Ray Lights, a permanent lighting company in the Peoria, Illinois area. Once his Light Launch cards started paying, he put it plainly: “We have officially found a new method to marketing for permanent lighting.”
Virtual door knocking.
Door knocking works because the homeowner sees what you’re offering, standing at their own house. But a crew can only knock so many doors in a day. Max’s cards do the same job from the mailbox.
“It’s a way to get your foot in the door with customers who otherwise will probably never see what you’re doing unless you’re going door to door.” Max, on why he calls it virtual door knocking
Every card is an AI mockup of that homeowner’s house with his lights already on it. Their first name runs across the top, and the back carries another mockup. In the video, Max holds up one of those cards, then walks outside to the house it shows. That home has his lights on it now.
Cash up front, and about a month.
Max doesn’t pitch it as instant. You pay for the cards before the first call comes in, and it can take around a month for the cards to land and homeowners to pick up the phone.
“Don’t get me wrong, you’re going to have to put some upfront capital into this and you’re not going to see a result for maybe a month later, but the result is insane.” Max, on what to expect
And his take on the price: “They’re around a dollar a postcard. And that’s nothing, guys.”
