If you talk to permanent-lighting installers — as a coach, consultant, content creator, or trusted vendor — refer them to Light Launch and earn 7% of every dollar they spend with us for their first 3 months. They get 7% off their first month as a welcome perk — so you have a real reason to talk us up, not just "trust me bro." Paid monthly via Stripe. Instant signup, no application.

Quick FAQ
When does the 3-month term start?
The day your referred installer signs up. From that day, every dollar they spend with Light Launch earns you 7% — for a full 3 months. No qualification gate.
What does my referred installer get?
7% off all Light Launch charges for their first 30 days. Applied automatically — no coupon code required — to postcards (credit pack purchases), materials, demo kits, and the platform fee Light Launch retains on homeowner deposits processed through Customer Portal. After 30 days the discount ends; your 3-month commission term continues for another 60 days.
Does the installer's discount lower my commission?
Slightly — yes, during the first 30 days. Your 7% is calculated on the revenue Light Launch actually receives. So a $1,000 postcard order during the discount window becomes a $930 charge to your installer, and your commission is 7% of $930 = $65.10 (instead of $70). After day 30, the discount ends and you earn the full 7% for the remaining ~60 days of the 3-month term.
Is there a cap on what I can earn per referral?
No. If your referral spends $20K with us in their first 3 months, you earn 7% on the whole thing (slightly reduced during the first-month discount window — see above). No ceiling.
When do payouts hit my bank?
Monthly, on the 1st. On the first of each month we send your settled balance (any earnings older than 30 days) to your connected bank account via Stripe — as long as the total is at least $50. Funds land in your bank ~2 business days after we send.
Balances under $50 roll forward to the next month. With ~50 active referrals you'll cross $50 quickly.
What's the 30-day settlement period?
When a referred installer pays Light Launch, the 7% commission shows up in your dashboard as Pending for 30 days. After 30 days, it becomes Available and is eligible for the next monthly payout.
This protects both of us from refunds and chargebacks. If the installer asks for a refund within 30 days, the corresponding commission silently disappears from your Pending balance — no clawback against money we've already sent you. Example: An installer pays $1,000 on May 28 → $70 commission. That $70 sits Pending until June 27, then becomes Available and pays out on July 1 (if your total is ≥ $50).
What if there's a refund, return, or chargeback after the 30-day settlement period or after the 3-month term ends?
Your 7% comes off too — regardless of when it happens. Our incentives need to stay aligned: if Light Launch loses money, the affiliate cut comes off the same way.
How it works in practice: the clawback amount lands as a negative line on your balance. Your next monthly payout covers the negative balance first, then sends whatever's left (if it's ≥ $50). You won't be invoiced for past payouts — we just net it against future earnings. If a referral is so problematic that you accrue a permanent deficit, we may pause future commissions on that specific referral.
Which signups don't qualify as a referral?
An "invalid" signup is one where you didn't actually bring us a new customer. The two common cases:
- An existing Light Launch user signs up with your code. If a current installer creates a second account with your affiliate link, we don't credit it — they were already a customer.
- A previously-existing user signs up with your code. If someone closed an old Light Launch account and re-signs up via your link, we don't credit it — they're not a net-new customer either.
We match on email and account-ownership signals. Obvious gaming gets the referral voided; edge cases get reviewed.
Do refunds, returns, disputes, or chargebacks count toward my commission?
No. We only pay commission on revenue we actually keep. If a transaction is later refunded, returned, disputed, or charged back, the associated commission is removed from your accrual. Applies to all four revenue streams (postcards, materials, platform fees, credit packs) and applies regardless of how long ago the original transaction was — if we lose the money, you lose the 7%. Clawbacks net against your unpaid balance and roll forward into future months if necessary.
Can I refer myself?
No. Self-referrals or referrals to entities you control (family members' businesses, shell companies, etc.) don't qualify. We may suspend an affiliate if patterns suggest gaming.
