1. What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Light Launch ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares
information when you use our service. It applies to anyone who creates an account or uses
the Light Launch app.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account details: email address, password, name, company name
- Business details: address, phone, brand assets, pricing settings
- Customer data: addresses you look up, contact info you save, notes you write
- Payment details (processed by Stripe — we don't store full card numbers)
- Support tickets you submit, including any context you include
Information we collect automatically
- Device info: browser type, operating system, IP address
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps
- Authentication tokens and session cookies (required to keep you logged in)
Information from third parties
- Google Street View images and metadata for addresses you process
- Google Gemini-generated render images based on those Street View images
- Lead enrichment data from BatchData (when you opt in to enrichment)
- Payment status from Stripe
3. How We Use Information
- To provide and improve the Service
- To authenticate your account and prevent abuse
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To respond to support requests
- To send transactional emails (account verification, order confirmations, etc.)
- To send product updates (you can opt out)
- To comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Information
We don't sell personal information. We share data only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us run the platform: Supabase (database/auth),
Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google (rendering, maps), BatchData (lead enrichment),
FedEx Office (print fulfillment).
- Other users in your company can see data scoped to your company
(renders, customers, jobs, orders) per the access-control rules built into the app.
- Print fulfillment — when you order physical postcards or door hangers,
the design files and any shipping address you provide are shared with FedEx Office (or
another print partner) for fulfillment.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect our
rights and the rights of users.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of
assets, your data may be transferred subject to standard confidentiality protections.
5. Customer Data You Upload
When you upload or save customer information (homeowner names, addresses, phone numbers,
email addresses), you become the "controller" of that data and we act as the "processor" on
your behalf. You are responsible for:
- Having a lawful basis to collect and process that information
- Honoring data-subject rights (access, deletion, etc.) under applicable law
- Honoring opt-outs from direct mail and electronic marketing (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR, etc.)
- Notifying us if a data subject exercises their rights against your account
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data while your account is active. After cancellation, we keep your
data for up to 60 days in case you reactivate, after which it is deleted from our active
systems. Backups may persist for an additional 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if
required by law (for example, billing records).
7. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted
storage at rest (managed by Supabase), and access controls. No system is perfectly secure;
you use the Service at your own risk.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent for processing
- Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority
To exercise these rights, contact us through the support button inside the app.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to people under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal
information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information,
contact us and we'll delete it.
10. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S.,
your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have
different data-protection laws than your country.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. When we do, we'll update the version date at the top of this
page and require you to re-acknowledge on your next login. Continued use of the Service after
a material change constitutes acceptance.
